Facebook mobile on browser?

All of a sudden no matter what I do the facebook on the browser keeps going to the mobile site. I can't get the normal facebook page to open. I will put facebook.com and it goes to m.facebook.com everytime. It was working fine up until today.
I log on to the web fb and not the app to access fan pages.

You have to click the dropdown menu at the top left and scroll to the bottom of the menu and click on "desktop site".

I have no drop down menu. I do have at the bottom saying try simplified site but that's an even worse site. I've been looking all over the normal site button

I found In settings there is: ua string I can then click on desktop but then all the websites are desktop and not mobile.
