Here's what you need, download and install these:

MultiLing Keyboard

English Plugin

Emoji Codec 2

After installing those, Open up settings/My device/Language and Input and check the box next to MultiLing Keyboard to activate and select as default.

You'll have to load up the english plugin in settings to enable word prediction if you want as well. After that you should be able to type out emojis and be able to see them after you post.

To get to emojis on multiling keyboard, just hold down the number key on bottom left and you'll see a popup and then drag finger to the emoji icon and you'll be able to pick from there.

Just to add some alternative options, both Handcent and Go SMS text programs support emoji. You would install either of those apps, then download the plugin for emoji, all from the play store.

While texting if you push the menu button an option pops up to insert smiley. Only works on texting I believe
