Email app is grey and dim looking?

The actual in box list looks like the dimming before the display shuts down. When I open a email the display is normal. Is there a setting? I've tried another app but I like the stock one better.

You need to turn off the background color that is in the power saving mode. Took me a while to figure that out myself

I am having the same problem, have been for a while. Really annoying cuz I can hardly read my email while in the sun.

I'm not sure what you mean by background color, though I'm sure I'll figure it out but wouldn't you need to have power saving mode on for that to mess up the lighting?

I just tried it and that worked. Thank you! I've been frustrated with that for a while and of course Verizon's customer service rep didn't know how to fix it. Lol
