duplicate email notifications

anyone know why I have two new email notifications for the same emails? Tried to disable the gmail app or something but that didn't work. One icon is an envelope, and one is an envelope with @. Hmmmmm.....

I have the LG Vortex, replaced an Droid Eris that I loved, but refuses to turn on now after sitting in my sweltering apartment for 2 weeks while I was in Europe. Love the Vertex, small, fast, reliable, love SWYPE (why isn't there an app for that on my iPod touch?)

the one with the envelope s/b ur gmail acct whle the @ normally is for another email acct such roadrunner, etc. this is a separate email from ur regular gmail acct. did u set up another one?

Have you set up your gmail to come through your email app? This is the only thing I can think of. Unless you have 2 email applications.
