Droid X Contacts Not Sync'd w/Gmail

I have a facebook contact on my phone. I added a phone number for him. He did not appear in my gmail contacts. What's up with that?

Google contacts are the ones synced with your Google account.

Soooooo... how do I convert an FB contact into a Google contact?

Seems like this should happen automatically when you ADD information to the contact like a phone number.

Assuming you're talking about one person couldn't you just use your computer to copy and paste the information on your gmail's contact page?

That's my best guess, I quit facebook a while back. I also think if you do this you may get a duplicate contact on your Droid but that's easy to fix.

OK, that was cool, but I still have dozens of people in my contact list, both on and off of facebook, for whom I have entered phone numbers into my phone and saved them, and I want to have this information transferred to my gmail contacts. How can I do this automatically?
