    phonedog:

    512MB RAM

Diversity Antennas for better call quality. Subtle digs at iPhone/AT&T from Sanjay.

    what the &^^$ is that???

3 antennas for noise canceling on calls and better audio on video capture. Exchange support. PVC-free construction. Jha: "We have exceeded" other companies in terms of making an environmentally friendly handset.

From phonedog blog and verizonwireless tweets:

Droid X will ship with Android 2.1 and have a "dramatically different" MotoBlur experience, but with all of the capabilities of the current Blur

Battery life on Droid X will be comparable to battery life on Droid 1

Battery life ...even with much better display... should be on par with original Droid.

1930 mAh battery back will be available in a few months - will add 1mm of thickness to the Droid X
<---( I called it for slim extended batteries if this is the case)

Phone will be available at non-Verizon retail outlets at launch

Verizon is offering early upgrades: If a Verizon customer has an upgrade coming at any time in 2010, they can upgrade immediately to Droid X at the $199 a/r price

<-----stumbles, trips over self to check his upgrade date...

    Calling now..standby.

OK, lady told me yes, this is true. It will be a $20 early upgrade fee. Looks like I will be getting one from best buy, who you know will bypass that whole silly $100 rebate.
