So, I decided to finally play with the video and Youtube upload on my Droid. First, I shot this video of my dog (Ludo) chewing his bone. Notice the craptastic quality?

Blame bad lighting because here is another short video of Ludo doing some basic commands in the kitchen and it looks endlessly better.

No, but how much would that freaking rock? It is just me and my death plagued voice :)

Although I do have to say that it does distort sound. Ludo sounds very different on the video as compared to real life. But, I guess that is pretty normal. The video quality really isn't bad for coming from a phone.

No I didn't notice any distortion I've just known Droids to be capable of anything.

Hmmm there should be an app for that. Dog commands. Sadly, that might only encourage Ludo to use Droid as a chew toy which would only encourage me to have to panic.

Some of the quality issues are due to YouTube compressing and converting to flv format. Poor lighting is not helping either. Droids don't do well in low light.
Also, normal for all photo type things, the less light, the shallower the focal length is so things are not as sharp.

I love how people always find something to complain about. The droid video camera is the best I've ever used on a cell phone, even better than my old iphone 3gs.
