Droid prepends 011 when messaging build.prop doesnt work

Hi,

D2G is my first android phone. My D2G prepends a 011 to the msisdn and then sends the sms. I have edited the build.prop (ro.telephony.gsm-routes-us-smsc = 0) using notepad on my PC and then copied it back to the phone.

Now even after doing this the device prepends a 011 to the msisdn.

Please help.

I'm not able to send sms because the number looks like this to the network (011+msisdn)

I live in India and the country code is +91.

Try using an editor in android and just rebooting. It shouldn't revert back unless they is a script in the init that forces it to do so. I use root tools to edit, but you can use any file manager that can gain acess and use it's txt editor. Never had to edit that part though.

Have you set the assisted dialer to use +91? I forgot where its at but go through settings.

Yup that's only for the calls not for the sms
