Does it hurt anything to have your Droid hooked to a PC via USB for peroids of time using it on and off?

Here is the senaro:
before you go to bed plug Droid into wall. fully charges overnight. later in the morning you plug it up to the PC for file transfer of whatever. ofcorse it charges while it is hooked up. I know during the overnight charge it with quit chargeing at 100% but when it is paired to the PC. I might check a noticication awsner an email, or text. which in my mind would use some battery and cause it to charge a bit. through out this time. If I know Im going back to it I will leave it plugged in to save wear on the charging port. I think I have issues. I am parnonoid. I am very protective of my Droid I just love her so much.

I can't say for sure but I'd guess it should be fine.

I have an issue that my wifi adapter on my PC is a USB thumbdrive looking deal and when I unhooking my Droid I have to unplug and replug in my wifi adapter because it quits working after I disconnect my Droid. No biggie but its the only Droid/PC issue I've ever had.
