Do I really need to use the "ALT" key for #'s?

New user here...i just got it two days and love it, BUT...........

When i'm using the keyboard and need to type in numbers, do I have to touch the "ALT" button before i touch the number, or is there an "Alt" lock somewere? Me and a few users want to know........

I assume you are using the slide out keyboard... If you press the "alt" key twice it will lock so you can continue to enter numbers. When you are done you press the "alt" key a single time to unlock.

You can tap the alt twice to lock it. Push it once for just a single instance. Or, you can hold it while you type.
