Default Handcent question

I used to use handcent but uninstalled it a while ago. Previously when using the stock messaging app to get to handcent it would ask which one I would like to use as default. that doesnt come up anymore and I was wondering if there was any other way of setting it as the default messaging system? Thanks in advance

you might have to reinstall handcent just to deactivate it

go into settings>apps> running apps> handcent> and clear its defaults

the only reason you might have to reinstall it is because you cant go into the stock messaging app on there.

so just reinstall then uninstall after you did what you needed to do
