D1 won't power off...

Hi all, just rooted my D1 Saturday with Soup or Root Beta 2.06. Everything worked fine... have superuser icon and all... have not done anything else involving kernel or roms... but just noticed this morning that when I tried to power off my phone, it did not power completely off... only rebooted itself back to the Droid logo... what's going on here and can i fix this?

do you have it plugged in when rebooting? I've noticed mine restarts on its own sometimes when its still plugged in.

No mine wasn't plugged in... it always reboots when plugged in because it's set to stay on when charging.. but even then it doesnt "reboot"... it turns all the way off, and then back on... to the Motorola logo... anyway...thanks for the tips... i was going to try the battery pull... but i cut the phone off several more times... and it finally shut down all the way. I dont know what the problem was but it seems to have corrected itself now. Hopefully.
