The theme engine for Cyanogen Mod is pretty awesome as it allows you to customize your the look and feel of your device. There is a new theme engine called RRO Layers which gives you just as much control over the look and feel of your device. Support for this will even be built into Android M eventually. You are able to theme your roms complete framework, as well as your notification status bar, and softkeys. "Carlospr21" has uploaded a full collection of status bars and softkeys.
