changing USB port

So my son busted the USB port on his razr. Anybody ever change one out, or do I have to put new motherboard in?

It is a very detailed process to change the USB connection. The phone has to be completely disassembled to the mother board.View attachment 61021
You may want to contact Motorola and see how much they would charge for the repair.
