So, I've gotten my Droid 2g unlocked and I can access the voice network, but I can't get to the data network. Anyone have any ideas? I will certainly appreciate the insights.

What is an APN?

Ok... I've been looking, and I can't figure out what you mean by APN. Any ideas anyone?

I'm assuming you bought a simcard from a Japanese provider... You need their APN(access point) settings to configure your phone to connect to their data network.

Ah, ok, that makes sense. Hm... From what I hear Softbank is really reluctant about giving info out, but, I'll look into that now and see what I can figure out. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks, going through it now. I suppose I get to figure out how to get this thing rooted. I love my Droid 2g so much more than the iPhone, I just wish it was as easy as it was to make it work on the softbank network as it was to get the iPhone 3g to work.
