IIRC that was exactly what it was suppose to fix. You're the first person I've seen mention this.

I had this problem. I just dud a hard reset and although wiped data, I was able to txt again.

backed up everything on the phone, wiped it clean and everything worked as it is supposed to.
I hate jumping through all the hoops to get my phone working properly, but good call.

mine stopped working before the day before the udpate. updated next morning and still couldn't txt. "new" refurb arrives today. droid 1.... again.
