Bionic shipping with gingerbread or froyo?

this phone better ship with gingerbread since its not even due to come out till q2 especially if theyre gonna lock the bootloader again. if this thing ships with froyo which would be nearly a year after froyo came out it could be a deal breaker for me.

As the specs listed it when it was first announced they stated it would come with 2.2 Froyo. I haven't checked back since then so I do not know if they've updated it.

All I know is it better ship with gingerbread, cause froyo wouldn't make sense

Yeah at this point if it ships with anything less than Gingerbread it'd be a fail on Moto's part.

From what I have found out is it will have not the full release of ginger bread as Ginger bread is needed for dual core. And we will be seeing it before Summer.

Dev builds for these phones are up to 2.3 GRH55 but release candidates are all 2.2.1 builds.

GB will not truly support dual-cores, we will need Honeycomb for that most likely, so it won't really matter what it ships with, you will be stuck using only 1 core for half a year...

Actually, Ice Cream is said to have dual core support.
