Battery calibration issue

I calibrated my battery after flashing a new ROM and my battery life actually decreased. I made it from 8 am to midnight with decent use and now my phones been unplugged for only 3 hours with light use and I'm at 70%, what gives? BTW I'm using the battery calibration app.
