Can the Droid autodisplay incoming text messages without having to push buttons? Where is the setting at?

Thanks,

the only thing I know is to install Handcent SMS it has a popup function when you get a new text.

Thanks

Good options, any others?

I am guessing from the replies that it is not an integrated option out of the box at this point that I can just browse to like on a lot of cell phones.

Thanks again,

mine doesn't turn the screen on when i get a text message. i just enabled to "turn screen on for reminders" - but that doesn't seem very intuitive given that the initial SMS isn't a reminder, it's the real one.

I know that the SMS Popup one does. I get popup notifications for voicemails and it even shows part of the speech-to-text in it.

I am hoping to be able to get an app that converts sms texts to speech. Had it on my EnV. Missed when I moved to BB 8330. Some day
