AOKP Android Open Kang Project updated to build 30!

Im Unlocked but unrooted at stock 4.04. I want to update to B30 or 31. This is my first custom rom and i cant find any directions on what to do. I assume i have to root which is no problem but could anyone tell me a step by step for this or direct me to one? Been looking for a while but cant find any.

use this to root- Wug's Galaxy Nexus Root Toolkit
Download and install rom manager from the market, flash clockwork recovery, download whatever rom and gapps (in this case AOKP build 30 or 31 and gapps should be on same download page), select install from sdcard in rom manager, find wherever you put the rom file (if you download it on your phone it should be in the downloads folder), then select intall additional zips, then select the gapps you downloaded as well, then select backup existing rom, wipe data and cache and wipe dalvik

btw, the nickname you have to look for for the verizon lte nexus is toro, maguro is the non verizon gsm version
