Any way to get rid of all apps / bloatware that comes with Droid Bionic?

Subject says it all. Any way to get rid of all of their garbage? (vz navigator, etc.. etc..) Just got the Bionic, first time ever having a smart phone. Looked for a few links, but so many people with wacky ways of doing things. Is there a solid answer, or is there truly no way?

root the phone then delete them manually.
