Android wont charge

So I don't know whats wrong i'm at a loss.

My droid simply wont charge. it doesn't matter if it's the wall mount or usb. The light near the port no longer shines and when it's pluged in the screen would read connect charger.

I turned it off and had it plugged in the wall all night regardless, and this morning it's a brick.

any ideas?

I had a similar problem with mine. I removed the battery and put it back a couple of times and it has been working fine for about 3 weeks now.

Happened to me once. The custom rom was the culprit. All I had to do was turn on USB Debugging.

My USB cable that came with the phone failed and I had the same issue. I got a 6' one from Radio Shack and it works fine.
