hey guys, been searching the forum but couldnt find the answer.

i downloaded the Red Rage, and Cyborg boot animation to install when i get my phone in a couple days, but i heard that the D2G doesnt have the "droooid" sound on startup, so i was wondering if there is any way to add the sound to the boot animation. I already have the droid.ogg file to use as the txt alert sound, can that be used?

The bootup sound in Android is whatever your 'notification' sound is set to. You could set whatever sound you wanted, as long as it was in a directory on your SD Card where Android looks for notifications (a folder called "notifications," for example). You would then have do enable to notification sound in the Sounds control panel.

If you don't use a custom text messaging app that lets you select a notification sound, then this would also be the sound played when texts are received.
