Accelerometer - slow to respond...is this a bug?

Hi all, I'm finding that the accelerometer is slow to respond when I'm switching from portrait to landscape mode. I'd say it's definitely longer than a second...for example if I want to respond to a text and I turn the phone to landscape it remains in portrait for a second or so and then it finally switches. Is everyone else seeing this?

Sorry everyone, just realized that there are similar threads in another forum. I'll look there.
