I'm eligible for an upgrade with Verizon and am tempted to wait until the new Droid phones are released in the next month or two. So my question is: Do you think the data charges for 4G phones will be more costly? If we're currently paying $30 a month for unlimited data for our 3G phone, will the price increase for a 4G data plan? And if I buy a new phone sometime in the next few months that has the 4G capabilities, does this mean I have to use a 4G data plan or can I keep go with a 3G plan that costs $30/mo.?

I wouldn't be surprised if they were more costly and don't be surprised if it is more costly.

Also, don't be surprised if you get a 4g device and have to be tied to a 4g plan.
