I'm thinking about getting a zoom and I have a few questions. First is it worth it? Is there a application for createing, editing, and viewing PowerPoints and word docs? Is it laggy? Buggy? I though I'd just ask the peeps that have one.

just got mines yesterday and havent experienced any lags or bugs (only within certain apps that i downloaded).

I believe quickoffice and docs to go will allow you to create and edit pp and word docs.

It is definitely worth it. The email, and support for word processing, spreadsheets, pdf, ebooks, etc. all make it worth it. I am so glad I completely skipped the entire laptop phase and waited for a non-apple tablet. You won't be disappointed. Get a bt keyboard too.
The graphics on the games are also great.

Howdy!

I read here a lot, but rarely post anything. Great information site.

I have had my Xoom for few days now. Motorola put together a great tablet. I have not had any issues thus far. I am sure that as time goes on and apps for tablets grow in numbers, it will be even better.

I also have Quick office HD, well worth the money and it is on sale now. Bonus!

Most of my apps that I use on my droid work fine for me on my xoom. Great to have both android platforms now. I still use my iPad, but as entertainment more so. I like them both, but really like open ability to drop files from any computer. No iTunes, yay!

I would not think twice about it and would do it all again. I might even buy another one for the wife.

Only thing I am waiting for now is Otterbox case. I will be golden then.

Its a great product but still a bit buggy. However if you're getting it for a media device vs a netbook replacement than it is great. The screen on this thing us amazing and movies look great on it.

However be Warned it is buggy. The Facebook app is practically unusable and even the browser has been known to cause some problems. I wrote a mini review in one of the other threads so might wanna take a look at that one. There were a bunch of others throwing in their opinions and hopefully that will help you as well.

Check out the "are you happy?" Thread.

"Is it worth it?" That is actually a tough question to answer...

Even though i'm a very proud owner of a Motorola Xoom, I still think it's over priced a bit. I still would of liked to see this at the $500 range. Although I feel I only over paid by $100, still...

So is it worth $600 to me? Over the course of me having the tablet, most definitely. I feel that I will not have to purchase a new laptop/netbook etc... this will take its place. From the time I can waste (on a plane, train, car etc...) playing with the Xoom is quite nice. Although what really impresses me is the amount of work I can get done on the Xoom. That is the true value... for me.
