Yahoo Messenger Issues

I just purchased the Incredible today and have had a few glitches with it so far, but most are probably user error! The one I cannot figure out is the yahoo messenger. I downloaded through the android marketplace, it installed fine, logged in fine and even get messages fine. I just cannot send any.

Help???

Have you tried uninstalling and then downloading it again? It could just be that simple
