I am trying to decide between the X and the incredible. Does anyone here now if the X, being a motorola phone have better reception than the incredible? I've been told by some that motorola phones have exceptional reception and then I've also been told that there is no difference.

thank you.

I know my old Razr used to have crazy-good reception compared to my previous phone, but that was a company phone from AT&T so not a fair comparison.

To tell you the truth, I never look at the bars anymore and haven't for a long time. The only time I've ever lost signal is when I deep in the sticks and even then I sometimes get strong signals from mysterious towers that must have been put in to service Verizon's sasquatch customer base.

I would be confident in reception on any Verizon phone, but as always, YMMV.

I would have to agree. Over the last 3 years I have had an Env2, Blackberry Storm, Droid and now Droid X and from my house they all have gotten the same signal for the most part. The Blackberry probably got the lowest signal of all the phones but not enough to drop calls or anything. As for the Droid and Droid X they get almost identical signals which are pretty good. I wold totally agree with Immolate tho your mileage will vary

My X seems to pick up a better signal in lower signal strength areas compared to my friends Inc. I have red this in other areas as well.

I went from the second generation G'zone (Casio waterproof phone) to the X. Call quality and reception is amazingly better.

I used to alert people when I was about to drop a call in certain spots - never failed. With the X, I have YET to drop a single call - even in my basement level room.

I had the D.Inc. and had to replace it for the X simply bc of cell signal strength. *The Inc did a great job of notifying me that I had missed a call. The X actually rings.

Your mileage may vary.

i find my touch pro 2 had much better reception that my droid x. It was also better at keeping a signal.

I gave up my Incredible for the X.
No difference in call quality.

Actually, the ONLY reason I like the X is the larger screen. The Incredible had a much better "experience". Usability, looks, speed, features.

I'll probably settle on the Samsung Galaxy X (Verizon version) when it comes out. Should be a nice mix of the Incredible's usage / looks & the X's screen (almost 4.3 vs 4.0)

from my local verizon store they said the X has better reception. he sold some D Incs to some friends and he regrets it.

my x has just as good if not better reception than my old Razr VE20.

most motorola's have good reception from my experience, had an old E815 which was solid, LG dare which was good and Droid 1 now. The motorola's have done well for me with reception numerous camping and back woods hiking trips. And now waiting for my X to arrive to test it out.

****UPDATE*********
friend at work has incredible and I have droid 1. Side by side and also few feet apart test show he has 1 bar out of 4, and I have 4 out of 4
