This is interesting, although I haven't seen anything suggesting that someone has actually cracked a device using that technique. The voltage regulation part would be easy, but I'm not sure where you would need to manipulate the voltage applied. Is it at the battery or closer to the microprocessor? I'm not a crypto expert so I don't know what you would do from there.
