I'm trying to connect my 3DS to my droid via wireless tether but I keep getting error messages. SSID and Passkey both match. Does anyone have any idea why this fails, even with security turned off?

I don't have a 3DS but the following applies to most systems

1. Are you sure you are using the right encryption method? (WEP or WPA or something else)
2. Some wifi systems are case sensitive and some are not. Be sure to enter the passkey in the appropriate case to be sure.

I am assuming you have successfully tethered other things in the past, but if you haven't then the NDS is probably not the best place to start.

Lastly, there are some systems that just don't work with tethered wifi.

What device are you using?

The NDS will not connect to an ad-hoc network IIRC.

You have to use the official hotspot app that is found on the D2, DX, Droid Pro, Droid Inc and Thunderbolt. Like BnB stated the NDS will not connect to an ad-hoc connection. I have tried and it will not work.
