Wireless tether help

My wireless tethering works and everything on my moto droid but ive tried it on a itouch, ps3, blackberry, evo, labtop and it only shows up on the itouch.

When i scan on all those devices nothing shows up only on itouch.

How can i get it to work on other devices?

I don't know as the PS3 works with ad-hoc networking, same with the evo, and the laptop could be any number of things. What have you tried with it? Is the SSID being broadcast?
