Wiping battery stats and dalvik cache

I was wondering what would happen if I wiped battery stats and dalvik cache randomly? Would it give me better battery life?

If I'm not mistaken wiping the battery status will just reset the point off battery peak and valley. It just sets it as a new start point for the OS to track. That's why you do it on a new flash of a ROM. Sometimes wiping the Davlik will clear up little glitches in the system. Won't really hurt it if you do it. But not needed all the time.
