Will Wireless Tether for Root Users or Barnacle WiFi do this?

I'm trying to wirelessly tether my Droid X to my iPod touch. My iPod touch can see the network, and it says it connected, but it doesn't work. Is there a way I can make the wireless tether act as an access point instead of an ad-hoc connection? Are there any other apps that might do this? Thanks in advance.

Try Wireless Tether on the market. It works sometimes. I'm having the same issue but it seems to work better than baracle
