Will a D2 fit in the D1 multimedia dock?

Sorry if this has been asked (no search in tapatalk). Can the D2 be used in the Motorola multimedia docking station that was originally sold when the D1 was released? I have a D1 and don't want to lose out on this accessory if I get a D2.

I have the original Droids dock by Motorola and the D2 fits like a glove. I would say yes.

Does the GPS mount fit as well? Its not the car dock, just a plain GPS mount from VZW that doubles as a plastic case with clip.

yes it does..the d2 and d1 are the same size..just remove the slide for non cased droids
