Wii mote links, but doesnt function.

I downloaded wii remote controller from the market onto my wifes D3. The wii mote links to the phone in the app, and when i press a button, it displays buttons are being pressed, however when i open my NES emulator and try to set the keys, nothing happens. The same app and emulator work on my sisters stock D2G running stock GB. Any help would be appreciated.
