Wii Controller Demo v3.0 Classic Controller

I just started messing with the Wii remote for use on my Droid emulator and everything is working fine. I also have a classic controller to connect to the Wii remote, and was hoping to use this for the SNES because I need the extra buttons. Wii Controller Demo v3.0 says the classic controller is connected, but there is no input when I hit the buttons, only the actual Wii remote. Obviously it's connected and the app says it's capable of doing this, but I don't see anything about how to get it going. Does it detect but isn't fully functional yet? Any ideas?
