Wifi Tether - starts great but then stops.

Why does this happen? It seems like it hits a wall and has to be restarted.

Happens every time I use it. Always done it, too.

Anyone else have this?

I, too, find that WiFi Tether stops working and needs to be restarted. Sometimes I might go hours without a problem and sometimes every 10 minutes.

I am rooted, but have stock O/S on my Droid and have no task killers.

Since I use it only as a back-up it is not a big deal for me.

I use Wifi Tether on a rooted D1.

It usually starts great and gets slower and slower over a 10 minute period and then I finally have to restart it.
