WiFi Tether + Speedtest.net = Kansas?!

So, here in SLC, UT we finally got LTE! (Woot!!), and I decided to try out the tethering on my laptop, just for the hell of it. But when I went to speedtest.net, it said according to my PING, it put me in Kansas. Why is it saying I'm in Kansas... when I'm 2 states to the west of it? Haha.

Is it a setting in the tethering app? I'm using Barnacle.

Maybe you guys are going to have to move to Kansas so your GPS will be right. ;-)

No one else having this issue, or know of a fix?

It's not just you, and it's not just the TB. I'm in Florida and my default with VZW usually ends up in Kansas. It happened on my Droid X too.
Have you heard of a fix? It also affects my download/upload speed (according to speedtest.net). :(

Ha! Oh hell no. ;)

Oh, maybe I should state, that when tethered, I went to speedtest.net on my laptop, and that's what said I was in Kansas. When I do it from my phone normally, it says SLC. FYI.
