Wifi only?

Is it better to turn off LTE and 3G and use wifi only when I'm at home to save battery? I don't live in a 4G area and some people say wifi uses less battery.

I do because it does save on your battery. I only turn on my 3g if I need to send a mms or am receiving one. Other than that, while at home I don't need data for anything.

Yup. I have a Smart Action set up where cellular data goes off whenever I'm on WiFi. :thumbup:

In the SmartActions app I have:

Trigger: WiFi ON
Action: Disable cellular data

Only thing to note about turning off Cellular Data is you will not be able to send/receive MMS, other than that it is a great battery saver.

You can still get texts, just not pic texts (mms). Took me a while to figure that one out why I wasn't getting my pic texts.

Yep. That's where data messaging apps like WhatsApp, Voxer, or Viber really shine.
