WiFi not working, suggestions?

Hey guys, I recently upgraded to a Droid 4 from an HTC Dinc. While I absolutely love the hardware (I always preferred physical keyboards), I can't get the Wifi connection on my phone to work, no matter how much I try. I've tried all kinds of suggestions: turning off 4G/3G, rebooting into airplane mode, resetting my router and changing the connection type several times, and even I tried using Wifi Fixer- all to no avail. I'm keeping it in 4G LTE (verizon) right now, but I'm wondering what I should do at this point. Should I wait for ICS to roll out and see what happens from there, or I should I root it now and switch to an ICS leak/a custom ROM? Unless there's a wifi fix that I'm not aware of right now...

UPDATE: issue resolved - see post #3

I have no problems with the WiFi on my Droid 4. I connect to any WiFi system out there with a problem. I would take it back to Verizon and have them try and connect to their WiFi and if it does not work tell them to replace the phone.
