WiFi in Turks

Verizon has no phone coverage in the Turks. I am spending 2 wks there and have a wireless connection available. Will i be able to use the Droid on my data plan?

WiFi is completely separate from any data-plan you might have -- your data plan is only used when you're attached to Verizon's 3G network, and uploading or downloading data. Obviously, since Verizon doesn't have coverage in the Turks, you can't connect to their 3G network while you're there. Even if you were in a place where data-coverage was available, you'd not be using your data-plan if you were connected to a WiFi network.

do you mean turks as in turks and caicos islands?

if so they do have phone coverage down there i was just there for 4 days my phone worked but i had to call verizon to enable international roaming.

i would have to look at my bill but i think its something like 12 cents a minute.

i did not have my droid when i went i still had my blackberry storm then but did have full coverage.
