Why wont HTC Sync work???

Well I downloaded HTC sync but it wont detect my phone. Why is this? Has anyone else had this problem before? Im trying to root my phone.

Yeah it wouldn't mine either, I was just trying to sync music with, but I gave up.

yea, me too. the phone says unable to find HTC sync on computer, and I have it up and running, it says no device connected. Between this and google calandar not syncing, starting to think that HTC thunderbolt is no better than a ****berry.

I had this problem at first as well. What I did was when I plugged the phone in, go into usb menu from pulldown and select htc sync then hit done. Now open sync on your computer, they should link up now.

Tried that, doesnt work. It even updated HTC sync and doesnt work. Google calendar doesnt work, only syncs a few items from my google calandar.

its all rubbish
