Why does my keyboard space bar split into a tab mode and space mode??

I usually notice this when using Yahoo and typing in to search something. It's almost as if it sees the other search box at the bottom and automatically splits my space bar. It's annoying when I'm trying to type something.
Anyway to disable this??
