why does call volume continue to revert back to wide open

My wife has a RAZR and I have a RAZR maxx. Since we upgraded to ICS our call volume is constantly reverting to full volume. We turn it down, correct the level and save it and abbra cadabra hocus pocus waaalaaah its back to full volume. If we wanted everybody to hear our conversations we would do speakerphone or video chat. Its very annoying when in a professional setting. Is anybody else having the problem and is there a fix? Thanks!

Not sure if I have the same problem, but I'm playing around with volume control plus. Give it a try. There appears to be a volume level lock feature. I just downloaded it so we shall see. Oh, I had to reboot my phone to enable the widget function to appear.
