Who thinks the bionic structure is poorly build?

The reason i ask is because on the micro usb port where u connect to charge is worpn on me ive used the charger that came from it and i found out its super short. And at work my outlet is on the floor, so i have a lg charger from my bt. Is longer...i chked the same fit, design etc, so it worked..then i find my self one day unplug from charger and see that its worping from plug in lip on ph, im like wtf? Its the same fit, no trouble connecting or anything, prongs are the same! And i just got my ph(2) this past weekend...now im just question the material that its made of...kinda plastic? But i thought with the 300 price tag..it would be better..or is it human error because of different brand charger?

I had the same concerns when I went into the Verizon store and held my OG in one hand and the Bionic in the other. The OG, maybe because it is made of solid aluminum/steel/iron/whatever just seems so much more solid. If I'm going to have to keep a phone for two years, I appreciate that build quality. The Bionic just felt very cheap in comparison.

That said, My OG is really on the verge of being unusable and I'm hoping I can make it till GN.

mine is pretty damn good.
my only quarrel is the back cover and the creaking... but its not a huge issue at all. the structure of the phone itself is solid as a rock

Motorola released a statement shortly after release of the Bionic stating that only Motorola branded chargers and cables should be used. I know this had more to do with software issues, but it could also impact the usb port integrity too. I'd get a 110V extension cord and use the stock charger, but that's just me. YMMV.

I've been using Motorola phones for almost 20 years now and I've always (well except for the V60!!) found them to be very good build quality. Personally I think this holds true for the Bionic too. Sorry you're having an issue and hope it works out for you.

What do you mean by creaking.. My back cover is a little weird also

Stop using the LG charger. Immediately. It sounds to me like the charger is putting out more current than the stock Moto one and overheating the USB port; thus causing the plastic to soften and warp around it. I have various USB chargers laying around, all with varying mAH ratings. Just because the plug fits, doesn't mean it's okay.

@dave12308, ok thnx for the heads up..i did stop using it one i saw it..i didnt think that made a diff..but learn something new everyday..again thnx

Looking at the place where the charger goes there are signs of wear.

Well I never looked until you mentioned it. I have no problem with cables and I have a bunch.
