I have the choice of buying another DroidX. My current DroidX suits me fine but I need another.
I have similar pricing offers on a original non-refurbished excellent shape DroidX and a newly Refurbished DroidX.
I'm a little concerned because of the unknown histories of both phones.
Has anyone else had a similar decision to make and how was the outcome??

Thank You

I've gotten refurb phones, I would think as long as they are not 3rd party, certified preowned should be alright... Those guys are pro's... Why do you wanna get another x, just wondering?

Thanks.
My wife wants one.So its easier for me to maintain two phones of the same type.

You may have 100 people tell you that referbs suck, but I don't buy into that. If you want to save a few bucks, go for it.

A few months ago, I got a cert. referb and it had some display problems from first power up, sent it back and got another refurb and no issues with this one.

Does a refurb from VZW have a good warranty similar the the phone it replaces ?

I had bought a brand new one, but when the OTA come for the D2, it fried something, so I got a cert. referb from asurian. That was the one with problems, but they covered for a new one. If you are talking about buying a referb, then I don't know.

Thanks for the input. Hope I don't have to ever use my Assurion Plan.

If it has the one year warranty, go for refurbed.

The refurb I got as a replacement for my original X overclocks a lot better than the original. Go for it :)
