Which ROM for special use

So I have my old Droid X and it's not activated with Verizon anymore. I basically want to dedicate this phone as a GPS and maybe run 2 or 3 apps.

I've tried Vortex and for some reason it didn't work with GPS airtime (for airplane mode GPS acquisition). It also keeps getting stuck in a bootloop. I guess my question is, which ROM is the most stable and won't suck my battery dead? Or should I just go back to stock ROM and freeze all the bloat.

Liquid Remix 3.2.1. I upgraded to the Razr Maxx and just use my DX as a wifi/GPS device and I really wish this ROM had come out while I was still using the X. It's basically everything you're looking for- fast, stable and crazy good battery life (although I can't comment on whether or not GPS will work in airplane mode since I haven't tried).

Sweet. I'll try it. Thanks
