Where did the Droid2 go on Verizon's site

The only Droid 2 is the global. Was looking to get two 2s for my wife and son. Only the global is available. Anyone know why?

The D2G replaced the OG D2. Now its either the black/blue or white D2G or the R2-D2.

verizon rep told me he had no idea what i was talking about(d2 discontinued?). so i am guessing the are sold out at the time but my store still has them. i do know best buy stopped selling d2s

Yesterday (12/17/10) or the day before, I saw the D2 at the bottom of the list of smartphones on the Verizon website with an "Out of Stock" sign on it. From what I have noticed in the past, that usually indicates the end of the road for that phone for Verizon. Resellers may still have some in stock. Verizon is still selling the D2 as "Certified Pre-owned".

Wow! It was just there the other day. FWIW I went to a verizon store today and they had one on display. So stores may be your best bet. Stores were offering the BOGO for the D2G with buy one get ANY phone. I did the BOGO for one D2G and one R2D2.

We had one on display for a week and didn't have any in stock. Not sure if they were actually sent back or we just sold them all though.
