Where did the contact list in email go?

I noticed today when trying to forward an email, that when I touch the "To" box, my keyboard comes up. My contact list used to come up. So now I have to try to remember who is in my contact list instead of being able to scroll through my list. IS this new to Gingerbread or did I turn off a feature somehow? Any help would be appreciated ...Thanks!

Yeah I have the same thing and they did that to the stock text app as well. That has been my biggest gripe about GB so far. I hope they fix that soon as it is irritating.

Lost my contact shortcut, clipboard and browser speed with gingerbread. I guess newer isn't always better.
