When I press "Send text message" within the phone dialer, it calls them instead?

As the title says... When I press "Send text message" within the phone dialer, it calls them instead of opening the messaging app. How do I fix this so it links correctly to the Messaging app?

I have a droid 1, stock firmware, but rooted.
